We take great pride in hiring the most talented and professional mechanics. We are currently hiring full-time positions in our northern California home base of Red Bluff, CA.

Our A&P Base Mechanics perform a variety of general helicopter maintenance including, but not limited to, detailed aircraft inspections, minor and major repairs and alterations, preventative maintenance and servicing. Our A&P Field Mechanics perform all the base maintenance duties while in the field as well as drive the fuel and support trucks.

Job Requirements:

If you are interested in joining the P.J Helicopters team as a USFS Carded 407 Mechanic, you will need to possess the following:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses. Turbine powered helicopter experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of FARs – 91, 133, 135, and 145 a plus. Knowledge, experience, and training in any of the following platforms is preferred:  Bell 206B/L, 407, UH-1H, 214, Sikorsky UH-60 and MD 500D/E/N/F.
  • Commercial Driver’s License with HAZMAT/Tank Endorsements required.
  • If you’re not in possession of HAZMAT, but possess other ideal qualifications, you must be willing to obtain your HAZMAT & Commercial License immediately after hire.
  • Ability and/or willingness to work days, nights, weekends, scheduled days off, and on-call during busy periods.  Some travel required.
  • Pre-employment drug-screening required, as well as ongoing randomized testing.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting while maintaining good working relationships with staff, peers, and management.
