Wire Design & Install Engineer 2

Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
•Support analysis and design reviews.
•Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas).
•Provide engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).
•Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
•Support the development of statements of work.
•Assist in the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
•Analyze functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture.
•Design, develop, maintain and release electronic/electrical/mechanical drawings and 3D MBD Model based definition data packages using CATIA V5.
•Develop aircraft helicopter cockpit layouts, design various instrument and switch panel assemblies, electronic boxes, avionics racks and shelves and all other aircraft type electrical and avionics aircraft installations.
•Investigate design precedents to document and maintain configuration control of engineering designs for use by downstream organizations, and develop aircraft electrical equipment configurations for multiple customers while applying company, industry, and governmental standards.

Job Requirements:
Qualification:
•Job requires strong technical skillset in CATIA V5 and 3D model-based master definition engineering, as well as experience in creating and revising 2D engineering for details, assemblies, and installations for electrical equipment for aircraft applications.

•Experience with Teamcenter PDM is preferred.

Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree and typically 2 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with experience in an engineering classification.

•Degree from an ABET accredited course of study, in engineering
